Choose the Appropriate Poster Size

We recommend the following size restrictions to ensure an even white margin around your poster:

  • Poster width of 35 inches (unlimited length), OR
  • Poster width of 59 inches (unlimited length)

If your document exceeds the recommend size, we may need to scale your poster to ensure no content is cropped by the plotter.

Create Your Poster

Posters can be created using a variety of applications. Common examples are:

  • Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Microsoft Publisher
  • Adobe products (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)

Once you’ve created your poster, you’ll need to convert it into a .pdf file. Please contact the Helpdesk if you need assistance.

Choose a Paper Type

Paper TypeCost (per ft2)
Semi-Gloss$7.50
Gloss$7.50

*Please note that due to low demand and increased cost, we no longer offer draft paper.  We apologize for any inconvenience.

A note about lamination:

The College of Forestry does not provide lamination services. If you plan on taking the poster somewhere that uses a hot lamination process you will need to choose semi-gloss paper as the high-gloss paper interferes with the lamination process.

Choose a Time Frame

The standard turnaround time is two business days:

Final PDF confirmed any timeWill be printed by 5:00pm on

Over the weekendTuesday

We’ll aim to complete the printing before the expected time if we have the trained personnel available.

How Do I Pay For The Poster?

Please provide a departmental or grant index number when you request the poster.

Fees will be charged to the index number provided for the account that sent the job to the plotter. Charges will be posted to the index accounts at the end of each month. Please contact the helpdesk if you need to discuss plotting charges made to your account. An email will arrive stating that your poster is complete and asking you to come to the front desk and sign off on the payment.
