VCarve Pro

 

VCarve Pro is software for cutting parts on a CNC Router. Includes tools for 2D design and calculation of 2D and 2.5D toolpaths and has the ability to import and toolpath a single 3D model (STL, OBJ etc.). Also supports import of multiple Vectric Clip Art 3D models (V3M) to create 3D assemblies.

Description

VCarve is used in multiple WSE courses.  Requested by Ruth Fore. 

License Information

One license purchased with TCF funds allows for installation on up to 40 computers in ONE computer classroom.   It is installed after imaging to the lab where the course is offered.

Installation Instructions

INSTALL FOR LABS ONLY

1. Run installation from "Q:\Private\LABS ONLY - VCarvePro\VCarveProV9010_Setup.exe".

 

2. Select the language for the installation to be in. 

 

3. The VCarve Pro 9.0 Setup window will open. Click Next.

 

4. Read through and accept the License Agreement. 

 

5. Leave all components checked in the Choose Components window and click Next. 

 

6. Leave the default Destination Folder unless another location is desired. Click Next. 

 

7. Choose a start Menu Folder if needed, otherwise the default folder can be used. Click Install. 

 

8. Wait for the installation to complete. 

 

9. Click Finish and run VCarve Pro 9.0 to make sure the installation was successful. 

 

10. The VCarve Pro - License Information window should open. Enter "Oregon State University" for the Registered User Name, and the license code found in "Q:\Private\LABS ONLY - VCarvePro\VCarvePro9 GPP\Vcarve_license.reg". The license code may change, but as of 2018 it is the code shown in the image. Copying and pasting from the .reg file will be much quicker however, and can be found if opened in a text editor. To be safe, don't mess with the information in the .reg file.
