A. REQUIRED PREREQUISITE
Connection to the license server requires an added System Environment Variable:
Start >> System >> Advanced System Settings >> Enviroment Variables >> Edit (System Variables)
Variable name: LSHOST
Variable value: quercus.forestry.oregonstate.edu
Logout then back in to take effect
Quercus.forestry.oregonstate.edu MUST BE the first entry in the LSHOST varialbe value field. To separate entries add : to separate the entries
B. INSTALLATION OF TPC
1. Run TPC 2017 R2 installer "Q:\Private\LABS ONLY - TraversePC\TPC_Desktop 2017\Tpc2017r2TechSetup_bears.exe".
(Screenshots are for the R0 version but instructions are the same for R2)
2. Welcome to InstallShield starts, click on Next >
3. Select I accept the terms..... Then click Next >
4. Accept the Destination Folder, click Next >
5. Ready to Install, click Install
6. Installaion progress bar, be patient.
7. Installation completes, leave Lauch the program selected, click Finish.
8. Setup installs sample data for all users. Click OK
9. Survey Data location specific to user, accept default. Click OK
10. Each User will get this window and must enter Program Validation information
- Enter: Name: CoF
- Company: OSU
- REQUIRED – EnterSerial Number: 243644
- REQUIRED -Click on check box next to Request Network License
- REQUIRED - Click on Validate button
11. Leave "Enter installation key" field blank, click OK
12. Click on OK when you see the Validation is complete! Window TPC should launch. Close TPC.
13. Install TPC PDF Writer.
Run Q:\Private\LABS ONLY - TraversePC\TPC_Desktop 2017\tpcpdfnew\RunSetup.exe
14. Accept Destination Folder, click OK
15. When completed, click OK and restart computer (restart required)
