
ProModel is a discrete-event simulation technology that is used to plan, design and improve new or existing manufacturing, logistics and other operational systems. It empowers you to accurately represent real-world processes, including their inherent variability and interdependencies, in order to conduct predictive analysis on potential changes.
ProModel is used in WSE 462. Purchased for Scott Leavengood's Winter 2016 course.
20-user concurrent license for student lab computers only.
Faculty will need to purchase a license for their use.
1. Run "Q:\Restricted\ProModel\ProModel Professional 2016 Setup.exe"
Installation instructions below are the same for ver. 2016 (except screenshots). Updated instructions in progress.
2. Wait until Preparing to Install.... finishes
3. Select language. English (United States) is the default. Click on OK
4. Accept End User License Agreement, click on Accept>
5. Select Network Setup: Network License. Click on Next>
6. Enter Hardware Key Number. Number is stored in: "R:\FCR\LICENSE\ProModel\ReadmeFCR.txt"
7. Enter License Server IP Address. IP address stored in: "R:\FCR\LICENSE\ProModel\ReadmeFCR.txt"
8. Setup Type: select Custom
9. Click on + next to Models and select Student Models dropdown arrow, select option ot install all on local computer. Click on Next>
10. Ready to Install: click on Install
11. Install Status: wait for installation to complete
12. When Installation Completed click on Finish
13. Launch program to be sure it opens and has connected to the license server.
