How can I reserve a Polycom video cart?
Polycom reservations are made using the room calendars. Please contact your department or the Helpdesk to schedule a room reservation for a Polycom video cart.
Polycoms may be moved to other rooms as needed. Please indicate on your room reservation the wording, "Polycom only," to let others know that the original room will still be available for other uses.
What is Polycom RPD?
Polycom RealPresence Desktop (RPD) is a program that uses a local camera and microphone to make point-to-point video conference calls in the same way that Polycom video carts do. Since Polycom RPD is newer, it can take advantage of screen sharing features that our video cart cannot.
Currently the program is installed in RH 201Q and PVY 143.
